What is FRASS?
Frass is a naturally occurring organic fertiliser, considered a superfood for crops and plants. This valuable by-product comes from the excrement and organic remains generated by the Tenebrio molitor during breeding, making it a rich source of essential nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, as well as containing chitin, a compound that stimulates growth and strengthens plant resistance to pests and diseases.
It is easy to apply, odourless, dry and sandy to the touch, which makes it ideal for use in both large plantations and home gardens’.
This product is produced by Insectropía, a sustainable tenebrio breeding farm where we carry out a controlled process to produce frass of the highest quality. We breed insects in optimal conditions, guaranteeing that our frass is 100% natural and free of chemical additives. In this way, we contribute to the development of a more ecological and efficient agriculture, while promoting environmental care.
